Frequently asked questions

Acumatica Connector FAQ.

Answers about supported environments, onboarding, catalogue and pricing synchronization, order export, security, maintenance, and custom scope.

Product and onboarding

Is the connector complete and ready to use?+

Yes. QuixWP Acumatica Connector is a complete commercial product. Required onboarding configures the tenant-specific warehouse, pricing, tax, freight, unit, and order mappings and validates the workflow before production automation is enabled.

Why is onboarding required?+

Acumatica implementations differ substantially between businesses. Onboarding prevents a generic configuration from changing prices, stock, or orders incorrectly. It includes compatibility review, installation, configuration, a controlled catalogue test, a controlled order test, and production sign-off.

Can we install it ourselves?+

The plugin can be installed like any WordPress plugin, but scheduled synchronization and automatic order export should remain disabled until QuixWP completes onboarding. The commercial package includes installation assistance, so self-installation is normally unnecessary.

How long does onboarding take?+

The implementation time depends on access, catalogue quality, warehouse and price-class complexity, and how quickly test results can be reviewed. QuixWP confirms the expected schedule after the compatibility review.

Compatibility

Does it support MYOB Acumatica?+

Yes. It supports Acumatica Cloud ERP and MYOB Acumatica environments that expose the supported contract-based REST API endpoints.

Does it support WooCommerce HPOS?+

Yes. The connector declares compatibility with WooCommerce High Performance Order Storage and uses WooCommerce order APIs rather than directly querying legacy order posts.

Does it work with product variations?+

Yes. Variations can synchronize stock and price data when each exported or synchronized variation has a unique SKU matching the corresponding Acumatica Inventory ID.

Can it work with multiple Acumatica tenants or WooCommerce stores?+

The standard package covers one WooCommerce production site and one Acumatica or MYOB Acumatica tenant. Multi-store or multi-tenant configurations can be reviewed and quoted separately.

Does it support multiple warehouses?+

The standard onboarding configures the agreed warehouse and stock-availability behavior. Advanced allocation, aggregation, regional warehouse selection, or per-customer warehouse rules may require custom scope.

Catalogue and stock

How are products matched?+

The standard implementation matches the WooCommerce product or variation SKU to the Acumatica Inventory ID. Exact, consistent SKU data is therefore required before the first synchronization.

Does it create products in WooCommerce?+

The standard package synchronizes existing WooCommerce products and variations. Product creation, images, categories, attributes, and matrix-item generation can be quoted as an additional module.

Which stock value is synchronized?+

QuixWP configures the agreed Acumatica availability field during onboarding. Depending on the business workflow, this may be on-hand, available, or another supported quantity exposed by the selected endpoint.

Can synchronization be scheduled?+

Yes. The connector supports manual and scheduled runs. Action Scheduler is used where available, with WP-Cron as a fallback. The first run is always controlled and reviewed during onboarding.

What happens to products that do not match?+

Unmatched products remain unchanged. The synchronization result and diagnostic log identify missing or invalid SKUs so the catalogue can be corrected without silently creating records.

Customer pricing

Can it synchronize customer-specific prices?+

Yes. WooCommerce roles can be mapped to Acumatica customer price classes, and imported class prices are applied to product, variation, cart, and checkout pricing.

Do price lookups call Acumatica on every page view?+

No. Imported base and price-class records are indexed locally so normal storefront requests do not depend on a live ERP API request.

What price do retail customers see?+

Retail, guest, and ignored roles use the synchronized base price unless another pricing rule is explicitly configured during onboarding.

Will full-page caching show the wrong customer price?+

Customer-specific pricing requires a cache configuration that varies or bypasses full-page cache for logged-in users. QuixWP reviews the active caching setup during onboarding.

Order export

When are WooCommerce orders exported?+

The export trigger is configured during onboarding. A common setup exports when an order reaches Processing, but the correct status depends on payment, fraud review, and internal order procedures.

How are Acumatica customers matched?+

The standard customer-matching rule is confirmed during onboarding and may use a stored Acumatica customer ID, email address, or another agreed identifier supported by the customer data.

What happens if an order export fails?+

The connector records a redacted error, applies the configured retry policy, and keeps failed orders visible for manual retry after the underlying mapping or API issue is corrected.

Can the connector create duplicate orders?+

The connector stores export state and the Acumatica reference on the WooCommerce order to prevent normal duplicate submissions. QuixWP also validates retry behavior during the controlled order test.

Does it synchronize shipments, invoices, or refunds back to WooCommerce?+

The standard package focuses on WooCommerce-to-Acumatica SalesOrder export. Invoice retrieval has a connector foundation, while bidirectional fulfilment, shipment, refund, and advanced document workflows are quoted separately when required.

Security and operations

How are Acumatica credentials stored?+

The API password and cached session data are encrypted at rest using WordPress salts and the encryption capabilities available on the server. The connector refuses insecure plaintext password storage.

Do logs contain customer data or passwords?+

The protected diagnostic logger redacts passwords, cookies, email addresses, and common address fields before writing. Debug logs should still be enabled only when needed for onboarding or support.

What happens if Acumatica is temporarily unavailable?+

WooCommerce remains available. Synchronization records the failure for review, and order exports can retry according to the configured policy. The connector does not block checkout because the ERP API is unavailable.

Can QuixWP access our credentials through the website form?+

No. Do not send passwords or API credentials through the website form or email. QuixWP arranges a secure credential exchange as part of onboarding when access is required.

Pricing and maintenance

What is included in the €1,499 first-year price?+

The standard package includes one commercial connector licence, one WooCommerce production site, one Acumatica tenant, compatibility review, installation, standard mappings, controlled catalogue and order testing, production sign-off, and one year of updates and support.

What is the annual renewal?+

Standard maintenance renews at €699/year and includes updates, supported-platform compatibility maintenance, and connector support.

Does maintenance expiration stop the integration?+

No. The installed connector does not deliberately shut down business-critical synchronization or order export when maintenance expires. Updates and support remain unavailable until renewal.

When would we need a custom quote?+

Common custom-scope examples include product creation, multi-store or multi-tenant installations, advanced warehouse logic, unusual UOM rules, bidirectional fulfilment, custom API endpoints, and extensive custom-field or tax mapping.
